Ganesh Festival
Ganesha festival is the most famous one in Pune. During this festival time you could listen to a loud mantra from morning till night. There are so many Lord Ganesha temples in the central area and it gets so crowded. They always say “Ganpati Bappa Morya Mangal Murti Morya” for this festival.
They started to celebrate around 1600 and nowadays this celebration goes on domestically and publicly. Lord Ganesha is known as the God of wealth, sciences, knowledge, wisdom and prosperity. Usually this date is August-September according to Hindu calendar.
